JLRC’s Structured N5 Course Helped Me Pass the JLPT

For the longest time, I’ve always wanted to seriously learn Japanese. I have tried self-learning, but my lack of self-discipline and my want for feedback, which I was also without during self-learning, hindered my progress.

I chose to enroll with JLRC because they promised a structured learning environment and the shortest class duration, both of which I needed to take the July 2026 JLPT on time. Sure enough, they were the correct choice. The standardized lesson structure helped me anticipate which modules and up until which sections will be discussed in a session, and allowed for me to catch up whenever I had to take a leave of absence. And because the class schedule was consistent from start to finish–meaning, it wasn’t rescheduled onto different days or times without notice–I was able to keep a consistent study routine. Tests of any kind were announced ahead of time. Lastly, before the course was completed, we were given mock exams to further prepare us for the JLPT. I would also like to thank and appreciate our teacher, Julie sensei. She answered any questions we raised to the best of her ability and encouraged further translation activities by asking follow-up questions during our translation exercises. She also made small jokes which helped everyone in the class relax some more.

I had such a positive experience with JLRC that I am currently studying for the N4 level with Felize sensei. Likewise, the experience has been nothing but good. While personally nervous still, I am hoping to pass the December 2026 JLPT exam with the help of JLRC.
