In April 2020, after a total lockdown in Metro Manila due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of businesses including JLRC were greatly affected. JLRC immediately opted to shift its operations from in-house to online Japanese language training with a positive outlook of “Opportunities, wherever you are” in mind. With this shift online, JLRC’s reach expanded from Metro Manila to all over the Philippines, Japan and to other countries as well. There was a drastic change as the magnitude of the operation more than tripled.

JLRC was optimistic to send off its first batch of JLPT N5 to N2 Nihongo classes students under the Online training to take the JLPT in July 2020. However, with the worsening pandemic the JLPT examination was cancelled worldwide. Even in December 2020, only a few countries together with Japan were able to proceed with the exam.

We are proud to announce that all the JLRC students under the JLRC Online Japanese training (JLPT N5 to N3) who took the December 2020 exam in Japan passed! All their hard work paid off and they did a wonderful job despite the ongoing pandemic. Though the number of the passers is quite limited compared to before due to the limited exam sites, we are hopeful and happy that we have overcome this hurdle and delivered our usual high-quality Nihongo training courses.

Bearing this good news, our school’s Nihongo learners who took the exam in Japan are happy to share their unique experience with JLRC Online Japanese Training to serve as an inspiration for our future students.
