A Former JLRC Student was Honored as an Outstanding Student and Delivered a Welcome Speech at Unitas Japanese Language School, Tokyo

In a commendable display of academic excellence and cultural immersion, Ms. Angelica May Hipolito Teves, a former JLRC student, was lauded as an outstanding student by Unitas Japanese Language School in Tokyo. At the same time, she delivered an inspiring speech during the school’s prestigious entrance ceremony on July 5, 2024.

Determined to overcome the language barrier, Angelica resolved to master Nihongo. Her quest led her to JLRC, where she took the JLPT N5 course while applying for the “Study in Japan Program (SIJP).” Through relentless hard work, patience, and a touch of good fortune, Angelica was accepted into the October 2023 batch at the Unitas Japanese Language School.

The Unitas, recognized as a key partner school in the SIJP initiative, welcomed a new cohort of students amidst an atmosphere of anticipation and enthusiasm. Ms. Teves’ address not only highlighted her personal journey and accomplishments but also served as a source of motivation for incoming students embarking on their own educational journey in Japan.
