JLRC Supports UP Tomo-Kai’s 35th Anniversary Celebration

UP Tomo-Kai, the Philippines-Japan Friendship Club of the University of the Philippines, is one of JLRC’s valued partner organizations in connecting with Nihongo-proficient individuals.

UP Tomo-Kai is dedicated to fostering meaningful cultural exchange and strengthening ties between the Philippines and Japan. Recently, we had the pleasure of supporting UP Tomo-Kai as a sponsor for their 35th anniversary celebration.

Their two-week celebration, held from May 5, 2025 to May 16, 2025, featured a wide array of cultural activities, including traditional performances, a Japanese tea ceremony, calligraphy demonstrations, karaoke sessions, and more. The festivities culminated in a vibrant event inspired by both the Japanese matsuri and the Filipino fiesta, complete with games, performances, food stalls, and merchandise booths. It was a joyful and memorable conclusion, shared by a community united by passion and shared interests.

JLRC, as a leading Japanese language school and educational institution in the Philippines, founded on a deep appreciation for Japan, its language, and the many opportunities it offers, is proud to support organizations that foster authentic connections and promote cross-cultural understanding.
