JLRC to Launch Its JLPT N1 Course Program, with a Targeted Start in March 2026

We are proud to announce that the Japanese Language Research Center (JLRC) has officially approved the development of a full JLPT N1 Course Program, with a scheduled launch targeted for March 2026.

As one of the Philippines’ leading Japanese language schools and institutions, JLRC remains committed to delivering the highest quality Japanese education to meet the growing needs of both local and international learners.

Enrollment to Begin in February 2026

We plan to open student enrollment for the JLPT N1 course starting February 2026. The course will be part of our structured and student-centered program offerings, continuing our tradition of excellence under the Start Today Modular Method (STMM) framework.

Why We Are Launching the JLPT N1 Program

The decision to develop and offer the JLPT N1 course was made based on a combination of strong internal demand and broader market trends:

We have received an increasing number of requests from our current N2 graduates and students expressing a desire to continue their studies toward N1 level.
There is also a growing interest from external students and working professionals who seek a structured, high-quality N1 preparation Nihongo course.
The number of JLPT N1 examinees in the Philippines continues to rise year after year, reflecting a nationwide trend toward more advanced Japanese language study.
At present, there are very few, if any, institutions in the Philippines offering a comprehensive, full-scale JLPT N1 course. As a leading institution in Japanese language education, JLRC acknowledges its responsibility to address this educational gap in a timely and effective manner.

While the current demand may not yet be sufficient from a purely business perspective, JLRC remains committed to fulfilling its mission of providing advanced Japanese language training and supporting learners who aspire to achieve the highest levels of proficiency.
